Terms of Service

Last updated: [18 Sep 2026]
Draft notice: This template covers the basics for a due-diligence/document-research service. Have it reviewed by a lawyer, particularly the liability, scope-of-service, and advocate-referral clauses, before publishing.

1. Acceptance of terms

By engaging FiveCheckMate's services or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Nature of our service

FiveCheckMate performs document research and due diligence on property records — including title chain tracing, encumbrance checks, litigation searches, approval verification, and tax/revenue record checks. Where a written legal opinion is required, it is prepared and signed by an independent, empanelled advocate. We are a due-diligence coordination service, not a law firm, and nothing on this site constitutes legal advice or the solicitation of legal work.

3. Engagement and scope

Each engagement begins once you accept a written scope of work and quote. The scope, timeline, and deliverables for your specific property will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and genuine documents, and to promptly share any additional records our team or the empanelled advocate reasonably requests. Delays in providing documents may extend the verification timeline.

5. Fees and payment

Fees are quoted per engagement based on property location, document availability, and package selected. Payment terms will be specified in your quote. See our Refund Policy for cancellations.

6. Limitations of our findings

Our verification is based on the documents made available and the records accessible at government offices and registries at the time of the search. We are not liable for defects that are not discoverable through reasonably diligent search of public records, for forged documents not detectable through standard verification, or for changes to a property's status after our report is issued.

7. No guarantee of transaction outcome

A title opinion reflects the state of the records reviewed. It is one input into your decision to proceed with a transaction; it does not guarantee the outcome of any purchase, loan, or sale.

8. Confidentiality

We treat your property documents and case details as confidential and share them only with the professionals directly involved in your verification.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in City Hyderabad, Telangana State].
